About The Position

The Overnight Forklift Driver operates a forklift to transport merchandise and materials throughout the club and assists with loading and unloading delivery trucks. The role includes inspecting and receiving incoming merchandise, preparing pallets, stocking and storing merchandise, and performing general maintenance and safety procedures. The driver follows club policies and procedures and provides Members with prompt, courteous service and assistance.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must successfully complete required training and certification processes.

Nice To Haves

• Prior forklift operating experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently; inspect it before use and follow established safety standards.
• Load and unload merchandise and materials to and from delivery trucks, and inspect and prepare trucks for unloading.
• Accurately receive merchandise and materials delivered to the club.
• Lift, reserve, and drop merchandise pallets between overhead steel and the sales floor.
• Prepare pallets for safe storage by wrapping, strapping, stacking, labeling, and correcting broken pallets.
• Transport merchandise, materials, and pallets safely throughout the club; use a pallet jack as needed.
• Stock, rotate, and store general and food merchandise, and ensure merchandise is fully stocked.
• Handle damaged and spoiled merchandise in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Keep the club neat, clean, and organized, including removing trash and cardboard.
• Participate in daily club openings and closings and return merchandise to the sales floor.
• Greet Members, provide prompt and courteous service, and assist Members in locating merchandise.
• Maintain club policies and procedures.
• Perform other assigned duties and work in other departments as needed.
