About The Position

The Overnight Forklift Driver is responsible for operating a forklift and transporting merchandise and materials throughout the club. The role assists with loading and unloading delivery trucks, inspecting and receiving merchandise, preparing pallets, performing general maintenance and safety procedures, following club policies and procedures, and providing a positive service experience to Members.

The position involves working in a club environment with moving machinery and potentially loud equipment, and occasional exposure to temperature extremes in freezer or cooler units and to cleaning agents. The role is part-time and pays starting from $16.75; actual pay may vary based on location, education, experience, and qualifications.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Successfully complete required training and certification processes.

Nice To Haves

• Prior forklift operating experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently; inspect it before use and follow established safety standards.
• Load and unload merchandise and materials from delivery trucks; inspect trucks before unloading and accurately receive deliveries.
• Lift, reserve, and drop pallets between overhead steel and the sales floor; prepare pallets by wrapping, strapping, stacking, labeling, and correcting broken pallets.
• Transport merchandise, materials, and pallets safely throughout the club, using a pallet jack as needed.
• Stock, rotate, and store general and food merchandise; keep merchandise fully stocked and handle damaged or spoiled goods according to company policies and procedures.
• Keep the club neat, clean, and organized, including removing trash and cardboard.
• Participate in daily club openings and closings and return merchandise to the sales floor.
• Greet Members, provide prompt and courteous service, and help Members locate merchandise.
• Maintain club policies and procedures.
• Perform other assigned duties and work in other departments as needed.
