About The Position

The Overnight Forklift Driver operates a forklift and transports merchandise and materials throughout the club. The role assists with loading and unloading delivery trucks, inspecting and receiving merchandise, preparing pallets, stocking merchandise, and performing general maintenance and safety procedures. The driver maintains club policies and procedures and delivers positive, courteous service to Members. Prior forklift operating experience is preferred but not required; successful completion of required training and certification processes is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently; inspect it before use and follow established safety standards.
• Load and unload merchandise and materials from delivery trucks; inspect and prepare trucks for unloading and accurately receive deliveries.
• Lift, reserve, and drop pallets between overhead steel and the sales floor; prepare pallets by wrapping, strapping, stacking, labeling, and correcting broken pallets.
• Transport merchandise, materials, and pallets safely throughout the club, using a pallet jack as needed.
• Stock, rotate, and store general and food merchandise; keep merchandise fully stocked and handle damaged or spoiled items according to company policies and procedures.
• Keep the club neat, clean, and organized, including removing trash and cardboard and performing general maintenance duties.
• Participate in daily club openings and closings and return merchandise to the sales floor.
• Greet Members, provide prompt and courteous assistance, and help Members locate merchandise.
• Maintain club policies and procedures.
• Perform other assigned duties and work in other departments as needed.
