About The Position

The Overnight Forklift Driver operates a forklift to transport merchandise and materials throughout the club, assists with loading and unloading delivery trucks, inspects and receives incoming merchandise, prepares pallets, performs general maintenance and safety procedures, follows club policies and procedures, and provides positive service to Members. The role also includes stocking, rotating, and storing merchandise; maintaining a neat, clean, and organized club; participating in daily openings and closings; and working in other departments as needed.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must successfully complete required training and certification processes.

Nice To Haves

• Prior forklift operating experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently, inspecting it before use and following established safety standards.
• Load and unload merchandise and materials to and from delivery trucks, and inspect and prepare trucks for unloading.
• Accurately receive merchandise and materials delivered to the club.
• Lift, reserve, and drop pallets between overhead steel and the sales floor.
• Prepare pallets for safe reserving by wrapping, strapping, stacking, labeling, and correcting broken pallets.
• Transport merchandise, materials, and pallets safely throughout the club; use a pallet jack as needed.
• Stock, rotate, and store general and food merchandise, ensuring merchandise is fully stocked.
• Handle damaged and spoiled merchandise according to company policies and procedures.
• Keep the club neat, clean, and organized, including removing trash and cardboard.
• Participate in daily club openings and closings.
• Return merchandise to the sales floor.
• Greet Members, provide prompt and courteous service, and assist Members in locating merchandise.
• Maintain club policies and procedures.
• Perform other assigned duties and work in other departments as needed.
