About The Position

The Forklift Driver operates a forklift to transport merchandise and materials throughout the club and assists with loading and unloading delivery trucks. The role includes inspecting and receiving incoming merchandise, preparing pallets, stocking and storing merchandise, performing general maintenance and safety procedures, following club policies and procedures, and providing a positive service experience to Members. The position also participates in daily club openings and closings and may work in other departments as needed.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must successfully complete required training and certification processes.

Nice To Haves

• Prior forklift operating experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently; inspect it before use and follow established safety standards.
• Load and unload merchandise and materials from delivery trucks; inspect trucks before unloading and accurately receive deliveries.
• Lift, reserve, and drop pallets between overhead steel and the sales floor.
• Prepare pallets for safe storage by wrapping, strapping, stacking, labeling, and correcting broken pallets.
• Transport merchandise, materials, and pallets throughout the club; use a pallet jack as needed.
• Stock, rotate, and store general and food merchandise, ensuring merchandise is fully stocked.
• Handle damaged and spoiled merchandise according to company policies and procedures.
• Keep the club neat, clean, and organized, including removing trash and cardboard.
• Participate in daily club openings and closings and return merchandise to the sales floor.
• Greet Members, provide prompt and courteous service, and help Members locate merchandise.
• Maintain club policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned and work in other departments as needed.
