About The Position

The Overnight Closer (Member Services Representative) creates a positive member experience by providing a high level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests. The role also includes closing the shift for the business day, preparing a bank deposit for the following day, and helping maintain a neat and clean club. The position requires working overnight and may involve working independently and alone when business needs require. The employer describes a supportive fitness-club environment with opportunities for advancement and training, flexible scheduling, and employee discounts. Compensation is $15.00–$16.00 per hour. Employees at franchise locations are employed by the franchisee, not PFHQ.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Basic computer proficiency.
Strong customer service skills and the ability to interact positively and professionally with members and coworkers.
Strong listening, empathy, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to demonstrate diplomacy and use appropriate behavior and language.
Upbeat and positive attitude.
Punctuality and reliability.
Ability to work overnight (third shift).
Ability to work independently and alone during shifts as business needs require.
Ability to stand and walk continually during the shift and talk continually with members and staff in person or by phone.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 75 pounds.
May occasionally encounter toxic chemicals during the shift; training and protective equipment are provided.

Responsibilities

Greet members, prospective members, and guests and provide exceptional customer service.
Handle front desk activities, including answering phones, checking members into the system, signing up new members, giving tours to prospective members, and updating member accounts.
Respond to member questions and concerns professionally and promptly, escalating issues to the Assistant Manager or Manager as needed.
Help maintain the neatness and cleanliness of the club.
Close the shift for the business day.
Create a bank deposit for the next day.
