About The Position

The Overnight Closer (Member Services Representative) creates a positive member experience by providing a high level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests. The role also involves closing the business day’s shift, including preparing a bank deposit for the following day. This part-time position requires the ability to work overnight (third) shifts, including independently and alone when business needs require. The role involves frequent standing, walking, and communication with members and staff, as well as occasional lifting and possible exposure to toxic chemicals. Training and protective equipment are provided for chemical exposure.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Ability to work overnight (third) shift.
Basic computer proficiency.
Punctuality and reliability.
Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to interact positively and professionally with members and coworkers.
Strong listening, empathy, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to demonstrate diplomacy and use appropriate behavior and language.
Ability to stand and walk continually during the shift and talk continually with members and staff in person or by phone.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 75 pounds.
Ability to work independently and alone during shifts as business needs require.

Responsibilities

Greet members, prospective members, and guests and provide exceptional customer service.
Handle front-desk activities, including answering phones, checking members into the system, signing up new members, and taking prospective members on tours.
Facilitate updates to member accounts.
Respond to member questions and concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues to the Assistant Manager or Manager as needed.
Help maintain the club’s neatness and cleanliness.
Close the shift for the business day.
Prepare a bank deposit for the next day.
