About The Position
The Overnight Closer (Member Services Representative) creates a positive experience for Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests by providing a superior level of customer service. The role also closes the club’s shift for the business day, including preparing a bank deposit for the next day. The position may require working independently and alone during shifts as business needs require.
Requirements
- Customer service background preferred.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Passion for fitness and health.
- Upbeat and positive attitude.
- Punctuality and reliability.
- Exceptional customer service skills and ability to interact positively and professionally with members and co-workers while exceeding member expectations.
- Strong listening, empathy, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to demonstrate diplomacy and use appropriate behavior and language in all interactions.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to work third shift (overnights).
- Ability to work independently and alone during shifts as business needs require.
- Continual standing and walking during the shift.
- Continual talking with members and staff in person or by phone during the shift.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 75 lbs.
- May occasionally encounter toxic chemicals during the shift; training and protective equipment are provided.

Responsibilities
- Greet members, prospective members, and guests, providing exceptional customer service.
- Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with questions.
- Check members into the system.
- Sign up new members.
- Take prospective members on tours.
- Facilitate updates to member accounts.
- Respond to member questions and concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues to the Assistant Manager or Manager as needed.
- Help maintain the club’s neatness and cleanliness.
- Close the shift for the business day.
- Create a bank deposit for the next day.
