About The Position

The Overnight Closer (Member Services Representative) creates a positive member experience by providing a high level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests. The role also closes the day’s shift, including preparing a bank deposit for the next day. The position requires overnight availability and may involve working independently and alone during a shift as business needs require.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Basic computer proficiency.
Punctuality and reliability.
Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to interact positively and professionally with members and coworkers.
Strong listening, empathy, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to demonstrate diplomacy and use appropriate behavior and language.
Ability to work overnight (third shift), independently, and alone when business needs require.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 75 pounds.
Ability to stand and walk continually during the shift and talk continually with members and staff in person or by phone.
May occasionally encounter toxic chemicals during the shift; training and protective equipment are provided.

Responsibilities

Greet members, prospective members, and guests and provide exceptional customer service.
Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with questions.
Check members into the system.
Sign up new members and take prospective members on tours.
Facilitate updates to member accounts.
Respond to member questions and concerns professionally and promptly, escalating issues to the Assistant Manager or Manager as needed.
Help maintain the club’s neatness and cleanliness.
Close the shift for the business day.
Create a bank deposit for the next day.
