About The Position

The Overnight Closer (Member Services Representative) creates a positive member experience by providing a superior level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests. The role also involves closing the day’s shift and completing end-of-day tasks, including preparing a bank deposit for the next day. This part-time position requires working overnight shifts and may involve working independently and alone when business needs require.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Basic computer proficiency.
Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to interact positively and professionally with members and co-workers while exceeding member expectations.
Strong listening, empathy, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to demonstrate diplomacy and use appropriate behavior and language in all interactions.
Punctuality and reliability.
Ability to work overnight (third shift).
Ability to work independently and alone during shifts as business needs require.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 75 pounds.
Ability to occasionally encounter toxic chemicals during shifts; training and protective equipment are provided.

Responsibilities

Greet members, prospective members, and guests, providing exceptional customer service.
Handle front-desk activities, including answering phones and assisting callers with questions.
Check members into the system.
Sign up new members.
Take prospective members on tours.
Facilitate updates to member accounts.
Respond to member questions and concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues to an Assistant Manager or Manager as needed.
Help maintain the club’s neatness and cleanliness.
Close the shift for the business day.
Prepare a bank deposit for the next day.
