Caregiver/ CNA- OVERNIGHT
About The Position
Stay in Home Care & Medical Staffing is hiring overnight caregivers, also described as home health aides, to provide personalized care and support to clients in their homes in Milford, Iowa, and surrounding areas. Caregivers help clients remain safe, comfortable, and supported throughout the night. CNA certification is preferred but not required; applicants with caregiving experience or a genuine passion for helping others are welcome. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available, with overnight schedules based on client needs. Pay is competitive and based on experience, qualifications, and certifications, and is paid bi-weekly. Insurance benefits are available to eligible full-time employees. Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, reliable, patient, and professional.
- Ability to work independently and respond appropriately to client needs.
- Ability to remain awake, alert, and attentive throughout assigned overnight shifts when required by the client's care plan.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license, when applicable.
- Proof of automobile insurance, when applicable.
- Dependable attendance and commitment to providing consistent overnight care.
Nice To Haves
- CNA certification is preferred but not required.
- Previous caregiving or healthcare experience is preferred but not required.
- Experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate overnight care and supervision to clients in their homes.
- Monitor client safety, comfort, and well-being throughout the night.
- Assist with nighttime routines, including personal hygiene, toileting, repositioning, and mobility assistance.
- Respond promptly and professionally to client needs during overnight hours.
- Assist with activities of daily living as needed.
- Provide companionship, reassurance, and emotional support.
- Perform light housekeeping and other household tasks outlined in the client's care plan.
- Observe and report changes in clients' health, behavior, or overall well-being.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided during overnight shifts.
- Respect client privacy and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Follow individualized care plans to provide consistent, quality care.
