About The Position

BAYADA Home Health Care is hiring Special Needs Caregivers / DSPs in Concord, North Carolina. Caregivers work one-on-one in clients’ homes and community settings as companions and mentors, supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities in reaching their full potential. The position is part-time, with flexible scheduling and overnight shifts available. BAYADA describes a supportive team environment, around-the-clock clinical support, and opportunities for training and development.

Requirements

One or more years of experience working with people with intellectual or developmental disabilities; training may be available through an apprentice program for applicants without this experience.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be 18 or older.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care assistance, including dressing and grooming.
Accompany clients on errands and appointments.
Spend time with clients participating in their favorite hobbies and activities.
Assist with everyday tasks, such as meal preparation.
Participate in community integration activities.
