About The Position

ViaQuest ICFs is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes. The role focuses on fostering independence, choice, and empowerment while ensuring individuals’ health and safety. Training is provided in its entirety, and no prior experience is required. Paid training includes CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration courses and certifications, as well as paid orientation. The posting lists compensation of $17.50–$18.50 per hour and describes a variety of schedules. Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
High school diploma or GED.
Valid driver's license.
Motor vehicle record must meet requirements, including no OVI/DUI, reckless operation, or speeding violations more than 20 MPH over the posted limit.
No more than two moving violations in the last two years or more than five points.
Reliable vehicle with active insurance.
Ability to lift, push, or carry up to 50 pounds.
Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, balance, and assist individuals as needed.

Responsibilities

Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, fostering independence, choice, and empowerment while ensuring their health and safety.
Supervise, teach, and assist individuals in all aspects of their lives.
Complete household tasks, including meal preparation and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
Provide personal care assistance.
Provide companion care and caregiving.
