About The Position

TeamKids is hiring a casual Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) Educator in Warragamba, NSW West. The educator works with a supportive team to provide engaging care and activities for children aged 5–12 before and after school and during school holidays. The role includes opportunities to gain experience in OSHC and make a difference in children’s lives. Available shifts are 7:00am–9:00am for Before School Care and 2:30pm–6:30pm for After School Care, with optional 6–8 hour shifts during school holidays. TeamKids offers Director of Service Job Ready training and flexibility for students, including the middle of the day free to study. Successful candidates must complete mandatory National Child Safety Training through Geccko before starting. TeamKids conducts background, reference and screening checks and emphasizes child safety, equality and diversity.

Requirements

Passion for working with children and helping them thrive.
Be involved, fun, a team player and ready to jump in.
Confident communication with children, parents and colleagues.
Hold or be willing to obtain a Working with Children Check relevant to the state.
Complete mandatory National Child Safety Training through Geccko before commencing employment.
Successful candidates must undergo background checks, reference checks and screening.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in Before and After School Care or education; this is not essential.
A Certificate III or Diploma in an ACECQA-approved course, or be working towards one.

Responsibilities

Participate in excursions, incursions, themed days, hands-on learning and creative activities.
Work collaboratively with the team and communicate with children, parents and colleagues.
Support children’s wellbeing, safety and development.
