About The Position

TeamKids is hiring Casual Educators for Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) in western NSW. Educators work with a supportive team to care for and engage children before school, after school and during school holidays. The role involves creating and participating in hands-on learning and creative activities for children aged 5–12, with opportunities to attend excursions, incursions and themed days. Locations include Gledswood, Gregory Hills, Ambarvale, Springfarm, Elderslie and surrounding suburbs. Available shifts are 7:00am–9:00am for Before School Care and 2:30pm–6:30pm for After School Care, with optional 6–8-hour shifts during school holidays. The role offers flexible shifts, discounted care for employees’ own children, and Director of Service Job Ready training. TeamKids emphasizes child safety, equality and diversity, and conducts background, reference and screening checks.

Requirements

Passion for working with children and supporting their development.
A fun, involved and collaborative approach, with willingness to jump in.
Confident communication with children, parents and colleagues.
Hold, or be willing to obtain, a Working with Children Check relevant to the state (WWCC, WWVP, Blue Card or VIT).
Complete mandatory National Child Safety Training through Geccko before commencing employment.
Successful candidates must complete background checks, reference checks and screening.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in Before and After School Care or education; this is not essential.
A Certificate III or Diploma in an ACECQA-approved course, or be working towards one.

Responsibilities
