About The Position

HOKALI is hiring After Care Educators to support students in Eastside Union School District during after-school hours. Educators provide general supervision and support in a dynamic environment, helping ensure a safe and supportive space for students from Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through 8th grade. The role may also involve designing and leading classes or workshops in an area of expertise, creating an engaging learning environment and promoting students’ skill development.

Educators plan and lead recreational activities, assist with homework, encourage positive social interactions and teamwork, and manage student behavior using positive and consistent practices. They maintain records of attendance, incidents, and parent communications; oversee snack time and outdoor play; and prepare activity materials while keeping the space organized and conducive to learning and play.

The schedule is Monday to Friday, starting in mid-January. Candidates must be at least 18 years old and willing to complete three hours of online training before the start date, covering Concussion Training, Mandated Reporter, and First Aid & CPR. HOKALI provides structured lesson plans while allowing educators to contribute ideas and adapt activities to their style and expertise. Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• Ability and willingness to complete three hours of online training before the start date, including Concussion Training, Mandated Reporter, and First Aid & CPR.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
