Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) - Educators - West
About The Position
TeamKids is hiring a Casual Educator for its Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) program in The Oaks, NSW West. The role involves working with a supportive team to help deliver engaging care and activities for children aged 5–12 before and after school and during school holidays. Activities may include excursions, incursions, themed days, hands-on learning and creative play. Available shifts are 7:00am–9:00am for Before School Care and 2:30pm–6:30pm for After School Care, with optional 6–8 hour shifts during school holidays. The position offers flexibility for students, with the middle of the day free to study. TeamKids provides discounted care for employees’ own children and Director of Service Job Ready training to support career development. Successful candidates must complete mandatory National Child Safety Training through Geccko before commencing employment. TeamKids also conducts background checks, reference checks and screening as part of its commitment to child safety.
Requirements
- Be passionate about working with children and helping them thrive.
- Be involved, fun, a team player and ready to jump in.
- Communicate confidently with children, parents and colleagues.
- Hold a Working with Children Check relevant to the state, or be willing to obtain one.
- Complete mandatory National Child Safety Training through Geccko before commencing employment.
- Undergo background checks, reference checks and screening.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience working in Before and After School Care or education.
- A Certificate III or Diploma in an ACECQA-approved course, or be working toward one.
