About The Position

Norfolk Iron & Metal is seeking a driven Territory Sales Representative to represent the company across the New Mexico and Arizona markets. The successful candidate will live in or near Albuquerque, New Mexico. This customer-facing role is suited to someone who thrives on daily customer interaction, territory ownership, and turning market opportunities into year-over-year growth in sales volume and profitability.

The representative will engage with customers in stainless and aluminum manufacturing, sheet metal fabrication, and plate and structural steel sectors. The role involves extensive travel throughout New Mexico and Arizona and regular in-person customer visits.

Requirements

• Self-motivated, with an interest in building a sales territory and being on the road and in front of customers.
• Relationship-focused salesperson who listens well, follows through, and earns trust.
• Strategic thinker able to turn customer conversations and market insight into profitable growth.
• Clear communicator who keeps internal teams aligned on account needs and territory opportunities.
• Live in or near Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Responsibilities

• Travel extensively throughout New Mexico and Arizona and conduct daily customer-facing activities.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through consistent in-person visits and responsive follow-up.
• Grow sales volume and profitability by expanding the customer base and developing existing accounts.
• Gather customer feedback, monitor market conditions, and identify new business opportunities.
• Communicate customer needs, competitive activity, and market changes to management and coworkers.
• Support company marketing and sales strategies through active territory development.
