August Roofing & Solar is seeking an Outside Sales Representative (Project Consultant) to sell residential roofing and solar solutions across our Los Angeles and Ventura Territories. This is a commission-only role with uncapped earnings ($100K - $175K+) , paid training, and a company vehicle. You'll receive high-quality pre-set appointments , but we also expect you to generate your own leads through networking and outreach . Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of in-home or outside sales experience (solar, roofing, or construction sales preferred, but not required)
  • Valid California Driver's License and ability to lift/carry ladders up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working evenings or Saturdays as needed
  • Tech-savvy: experience with CRM software a plus
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Manage pre-set appointment leads while also building your own pipeline through self-generated leads and networking
  • Conduct in-home sales presentations and educate homeowners on roofing, solar, and gutter systems
  • Perform rooftop evaluations, measurements, and job-site drawings
  • Present customized proposals using our proprietary estimation software
  • Build strong relationships through empathy, listening, and clear communication
  • Close deals by following a structured and proven sales methodology
  • Participate in community networking events to increase visibility
  • Keep accurate records in CRM systems and stay updated on product knowledge
