About The Position

Turtle is seeking an experienced Outside Sales Associate in Austin, Texas. This is a salary-plus-unlimited-commission position. The role focuses on providing positive and helpful customer service, managing and growing existing accounts, and pursuing new business. The position requires travel within an assigned territory and operating a motor vehicle.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Ship-to-shore crane knowledge.
Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and drive decisions.
Lighting and gear product and application knowledge.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Experience in at least one sales area: Industrial, OEM, Automation, Lighting, Power Distribution, Commodities, or Energy.
Ability to operate a motor vehicle, a current driver's license, and a good driving record.

Nice To Haves

Industrial and/or commercial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Sell, market, promote, and demonstrate products.
Manage and grow existing accounts and pursue new business accounts.
Generate sales to new customers and sell additional products to existing customers.
Pursue product applications using personal knowledge, internal specialists and resources, vendor representatives, and other available sources.
Establish and maintain customer relationships.
Learn and evaluate customer operations to identify customer objectives, requirements, and preferences.
Process product quotations with inside sales counterparts and follow up through completion of the customer's purchasing cycle.
Travel within an assigned territory.
