About The Position

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC (MHC), North America’s largest Kenworth truck dealership and leasing group, is hiring an Outside Parts Salesperson for MHC Kenworth-Cheyenne. The position develops and achieves profitable parts and labor-services sales from assigned accounts in a designated territory and analyzes customer operations to identify future parts, service, and truck requirements. This is a safety-sensitive position. The job involves duties where impairment or lapses in attention could create health or safety risks, including work related to motor vehicles and heavy equipment.

Requirements

One year of automotive-parts-related experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience dealing with the public in a sales or service capacity.

Responsibilities

Develop sales volume for assigned accounts in line with realistic sales projections, focusing on parts and labor opportunities.
Oversee assigned customer operations and advise or assist customers with inventory selection and control, available service, new products, and related matters.
Plan territory coverage and regularly call on current and prospective key accounts.
Take orders, introduce new products and promotions, promote existing products and services, and provide literature as needed.
Complete weekly customer call sheets summarizing calls made.
Keep personal expenses within the approved budget and submit weekly expense reports.
Promote MHC offerings, including RoadForce, Service, Body Shop, Truck Sales, Leasing, Carrier, and Finance.
Investigate customer complaints and refer them to the appropriate Department Manager and/or Branch Manager.
Assist counter personnel with orders, deliveries, returns, inventory, and other assigned tasks when necessary.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
