About The Position

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC (MHC), North America’s largest Kenworth truck dealership and leasing group, is hiring an Outside Parts Salesperson for its MHC Kenworth-Nashville branch. The role develops and achieves profitable parts and labor-service sales from assigned accounts in a designated territory and analyzes customer operations to identify future parts, service, and truck requirements. This is a safety-sensitive position: working under the influence of marijuana or other illegal drugs may pose a threat to health or safety, and job duties may involve motor vehicles or other safety-sensitive equipment or materials.

Requirements

• One year of automotive parts-related experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience dealing with the public in a sales or service capacity.

Responsibilities

• Develop and achieve sales volume for assigned accounts, focusing on parts and labor sales opportunities and realistic sales projections.
• Oversee assigned customer operations and advise or assist customers with inventory selection and control, available services, and new products and services.
• Plan territory coverage and regularly call on current and prospective key accounts.
• Take orders, introduce new products and promotions, reinforce existing products and services, and provide literature as needed.
• Complete weekly customer call sheets summarizing calls made.
• Keep personal expenses within the approved budget and submit weekly expense reports.
• Promote MHC offerings, including RoadForce, Service, Body Shop, Truck Sales, Leasing, Carrier, and Finance.
• Investigate customer complaints and refer them to the appropriate Department Manager and/or Branch Manager.
• Assist counter personnel as needed with orders, deliveries, returns, inventory, and other assigned tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
