About The Position

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is hiring an Outside Parts Salesperson to develop assigned accounts in a designated territory and achieve profitable sales of parts and labor services. The role analyzes customer operations to identify future needs for parts, service, and trucks. It is designated as safety-sensitive; performing the job while under the influence of marijuana or another illegal drug may pose a threat to health or safety, particularly given duties involving motor vehicles and other potentially hazardous operations.

Requirements

One year of automotive parts-related experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience dealing with the public in a sales or service capacity.

Computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop sales volume for assigned accounts in line with realistic sales projections, focusing on parts and labor opportunities.
Oversee assigned customer operations and advise or assist customers with inventory selection and control, available service, new products, and services.
Plan territory coverage and regularly call on current and prospective key accounts.
Take orders, introduce new products and promotions, reinforce existing products and services, and provide literature as needed.
Complete weekly customer call sheets summarizing calls made.
Manage personal expenses within the approved budget and submit weekly expense reports.
Promote MHC offerings, including RoadForce, Service, Body Shop, Truck Sales, Leasing, Carrier, and Finance.
Investigate customer complaints and refer them to the appropriate Department Manager and/or Branch Manager.
Assist counter personnel with orders, deliveries, returns, inventory, and other assigned tasks when necessary.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
