About The Position

IDRA is seeking a motivated, community-oriented Outreach Assistant to support recruitment for monthly IDRA Education CAFEs for College Access events. The short-term role focuses on connecting with families and encouraging participation in small-group conversations about education and college access. The position lasts three months, with potential for extension, and is part-time and flexible. Hours are 5–10 per week, with up to 10 hours per week during the first month. Pay is $18 per hour.

• Organized and reliable, with the ability to work independently.

Nice To Haves

• Prior outreach, community engagement, or customer-facing experience is preferred.
• Bilingual English-Spanish skills are a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct outreach to recruit families for IDRA Education CAFEs for College Access sessions by phone, email, in-person engagement, and community networking.
• Build and maintain relationships with community members and partner organizations.
• Identify and engage a minimum of three to four families per session.
• Distribute outreach materials and share information about upcoming events.
• Track outreach efforts and participation using simple reporting tools.
• Support event coordination as needed.
