About The Position

The Lab Assistant provides supportive activities in laboratory operations, sample handling, and related daily maintenance. This is an entry-level, temporary, part-time role scheduled Monday through Friday from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, with compensation of $15.00 per hour. Work may take place on the road and in an office or laboratory setting. The role supports Pace Analytical’s mission and customer service by maintaining supplies and laboratory glassware, assisting with sample and document handling, and contributing to an effective and cooperative workplace.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Related work experience is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. A valid driver’s license may be required. Continued employment depends on maintaining any required licenses and certificates in active status without suspension or revocation.

The work may involve travel and exposure to weather, blood or bodily fluids, chemicals, fumes, gases, noxious odors, and related items. Physical demands include safely operating a motor vehicle and occasionally exerting up to 50 pounds of force, or frequently up to 20 pounds, to move objects. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Ability to perform the essential duties satisfactorily.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and stock supplies, tools, and related items.
• Clean laboratory glassware according to GLP methods; pick up, transport, and deliver it to required locations; and keep wash and storage areas clean and organized.
• Assist with ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, seeking guidance or escalating issues when required.
• Pick up, transport, and deliver samples, documents, materials, and other items as needed.
• Assist with reviewing, completing, and processing documents, databases, and related information for sample pickup, transport, and delivery.
• Contribute suggestions and participate as an active work-team member to support the department’s efficiency and service to customers.
• Demonstrate courteous and cooperative behavior with customers and staff and support a harmonious and effective workplace.
