About The Position

The Laboratory Assistant Outreach/Mobile Phlebotomist travels to assigned nursing homes throughout Miami-Dade and Broward counties to collect patient specimens. The role delivers specimens to nearby rapid-response laboratories within HCA Healthcare facilities for centrifuging and packaging for courier delivery to the core laboratory. Mileage reimbursement is provided, and on-call incentives are available.

Requirements

Completed high school diploma or GED.
Vocational or technical diploma.
Experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
Ability to work independently.
Reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

Phlebotomy certificate is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Perform venipunctures on adult and geriatric patients.
Collect specimens and conduct testing.
Process, sort, and prepare specimens for submission to referral laboratories for testing.
Centrifuge and aliquot specimens appropriately and prepare them for courier pickup.
Travel to assigned nursing homes throughout Miami-Dade and Broward counties and deliver specimens to nearby rapid-response labs.
