About The Position

The Outpatient Therapist (Mental Health Professional) delivers supervised mental health services to patients and their loved ones. The role provides patient-focused care through assessments, psycho-education, process groups, treatment planning, and therapeutic counseling using evidence-based interventions in individual and group settings. Pinewood Springs serves adolescent and adult patients and offers mental health and wellness services in a supportive, therapeutic environment.

Requirements

A master's degree is required.
Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
Provisional licensure may be required (for example, LPC-A or LMSW).

Responsibilities

Conduct individual, group, and family psychoeducational and process groups.
Develop treatment plans and participate in treatment planning meetings and ongoing reviews.
Assess the environment and patient safety status; report or respond to actual and potential safety issues and changes in patient condition.
Identify risk factors, screening criteria, and interventions for patients requiring special precautions, including suicide, homicide, falls, or elopement precautions.
Complete assessments, group notes, and other documentation promptly and in compliance with requirements and scope of practice.
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to assess and coordinate discharge planning needs and readiness.
Conduct post-discharge follow-up as indicated.
