About The Position

The Outlet Team Leader drives sales by providing outstanding customer service, applying selling techniques to build sales and customer loyalty, and maintaining a clean, neat, easy-to-shop selling floor. The role models Bloomingdale’s Fun, Fresh and Fast Selling Culture and supports the Outlet Management team with daily business operations. The Team Leader is expected to be proficient in selling and operational tasks, including merchandise processing, signing, and pricing accuracy, and to assist with Sales, Service, and Merchandising functions as business needs dictate.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to communicate and share information with diverse groups of customers and peers.
Ability to read and interpret instructional documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
Ability to use computers and navigate multiple technological devices.
Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including prolonged standing and walking, and frequently lifting or moving up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Perform supervisory functions in the absence of the Outlet Store Manager or Store Leader.
Demonstrate product knowledge and communicate sales and promotions to the team.
Train and coach colleagues on selling expectations and relationship building to drive customer loyalty.
Partner with the Store Leader to execute operational functions, including merchandising, logistics, and visual directives.
Prepare and plan for shipments, transfers, floor moves, signing, and markdowns.
Assist with new-hire onboarding and colleague performance management.
Protect company assets and follow operational and cash office procedures.
Provide customer service, support sales, and maintain a clean, neat, easy-to-shop selling floor.
