About The Position

Assist the Outlet Manager in planning and managing the Restaurant, Room Service, and other food and beverage outlets as appropriate. The role supports customer satisfaction, quality service, compliance with corporate and franchise policies and procedures, and adherence to federal, state, and local regulations while meeting or exceeding financial goals. The position is tipped/service-charge eligible and is not eligible for a discretionary performance bonus.

Requirements

Ability to use a point-of-sale system.
Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to push or pull carts of products weighing up to 150 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to adapt communication style to different audiences, including supervisors, coworkers, and the public.
Ability to comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly.

Responsibilities

Monitor servers’ and buspersons’ adherence to service standards.
Supervise guest service and watch for guests needing assistance.
Assist the manager in establishing and monitoring completion of sidework duties.
Maintain the bank according to HEI Hotels and Resorts standards.
Read the previous shift’s daily communication sheets and prepare one for the following shift.
Check the floor plan for appropriate coverage.
Check the restaurant for cleanliness and setup, including service stands, aisle areas, and tables.
Follow state, federal, and corporate liquor requirements when serving alcoholic beverages.
Communicate daily with the Restaurant Manager about special events, house counts, and related matters.
Assist the Restaurant Manager with menu classes and taste panels.
Provide staff with clear direction verbally and in writing.
Follow attendance rules and maintain regular availability for work.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
