About The Position

The Host is the initial contact with guests and is responsible for starting their visit with a positive experience at the front door. The role greets, seats, and pages guests and may also act as a tour guide, communicator, entertainer, memorabilia curator, and musician at heart. The Host helps assure guest satisfaction and creates memorable experiences.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Remain calm in a hectic, fast-paced atmosphere.
• Demonstrate a high level of organization, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency.
• Display a positive and outwardly friendly attitude toward guests and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Open doors, where applicable.
• Welcome and thank guests.
• Answer questions accurately and politely.
• Maintain a clean and organized waiting area.
• Answer the phone.
• Direct guests to areas and restrooms.
• Provide security for co-workers, guests, and celebrities.
• Assist servers, bussers, and managers.
• Perform opening, closing, and side duties, including cleaning glass, polishing brass, sweeping and vacuuming floors, wiping menus, and restroom maintenance.
• Assure the complete satisfaction of each guest.
• Create memorable experiences.
• Entertain guests to create “Raving Fans.”
