About The Position

The Cashier checks out customers’ merchandise through POS registers and performs customer-service activities, including greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and warmly and handling merchandise with care. The role supports a pleasant, productive shopping experience by providing friendly service, maintaining product knowledge, staying aware of advertised sales, and keeping nearby shelves and pegs stocked and orderly when not ringing up purchases. Cashiers assist customers with buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs, recommending products, and promoting programs such as CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and associates.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Ability to operate a computerized Point of Sale register system.
