About The Position

The Cashier checks out customers’ merchandise through point-of-sale registers and performs customer service activities. The role includes greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and in a friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, and supporting a pleasant, productive shopping experience. Cashiers remain knowledgeable about products and advertised sales, stock and straighten nearby shelves and pegs when not ringing up merchandise, and assist customers with buying decisions by identifying their needs, making product recommendations, and promoting programs such as CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

High school education or equivalent experience.
Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change.
Ability to communicate in a friendly, professional manner with customers and associates.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
Ability to operate a computerized point-of-sale register system.

Responsibilities
