About The Position

The Outdoor Server provides food and beverage service to Ebb & Flow Restaurant areas, Evermore Bay beaches, and cabanas. The role creates an attentive, welcoming guest experience by taking and delivering orders, recommending menu and beverage options, addressing guest requests and concerns, and coordinating with kitchen, bar, and other team members. Servers also support poolside and bayside operations, including maintaining clean service areas and setting up and breaking down service stations and cabanas. The position requires knowledge of food and beverage offerings, alcoholic beverages, and applicable alcohol-service regulations. The Outdoor Server handles payments, maintains and replenishes work areas, completes opening and closing duties, and follows quality, safety, security, and cleanliness standards. The role may also assist with training staff and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma.
2–4 years of hospitality and serving experience; customer service experience is a focus.
Knowledge of alcoholic beverages and upselling.
Basic knowledge of food and beverage items and menu offerings.
Food, alcohol, and safety certifications required under Florida requirements.
Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact with a wide range of people.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to speak clearly and professionally.
Organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills; attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and multitask.
Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for handling payments.
Ability to read safety procedures and operating guidelines.
Commitment to cleanliness, hygiene, quality standards, and the Evermore brand and Team Member values.
Ability to safely lift, pull, and push up to 25 pounds; stand, walk, stoop, kneel, bend, and reach; carry trays and navigate outdoor environments; and stand for extended periods.
Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environmental conditions.

Responsibilities

Provide guest service at Ebb & Flow Restaurant areas, Evermore Bay beaches, and cabanas.
Greet and engage guests professionally, anticipate their needs, and respond to inquiries and requests.
Recommend menu items and beverages, explain offerings, and tailor orders to guest preferences and dietary restrictions.
Accurately take and deliver food and beverage orders, including special requests.
Serve cocktails, wines, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages; follow standardized recipes and techniques and garnish drinks appropriately.
Handle guest complaints and concerns courteously and seek solutions.
Maintain knowledge of menus, ingredients, preparation methods, specials, spirits, wines, liqueurs, and beverage trends.
Follow regulations for alcohol service, verify guests’ legal drinking age, refuse service when appropriate, and recognize and respond to intoxication.
Coordinate with kitchen, bar, wait staff, and other team members to ensure efficient operations and timely service.
Maintain clean, organized, and stocked work areas; ensure glassware, plateware, silverware, and equipment are clean and in good condition.
Complete opening and closing duties, assigned side work, and setup and breakdown of poolside service stations and cabanas.
Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately, including payments, change, and closing tabs.
Provide guests with information about hotel amenities, promotions, and activities; promote specials and other offerings as directed.
Monitor guest needs and coordinate with other departments to provide additional services, such as towels, sunscreen, or water.
Maintain a clean and organized bayside area by clearing plates, glassware, and debris.
Follow company, safety, security, quality, appearance, confidentiality, and asset-protection policies and standards; complete required safety training and certifications.
Participate in training and development opportunities and assist in training new servers and staff if required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
