About The Position

Dune Deck Beach Club is hiring seasonal Outdoor Pursuits Attendants for May through September 2027. The role provides members with personal, professional service throughout the property in connection with outdoor activities. It is hands-on and involves organizing, instructing, encouraging, and participating in activities, while helping create the Discovery Land Company experience for members and fellow employees. Attendants support activities and events across the Club, prepare and maintain activity areas and equipment, and help ensure members’ and guests’ safety and enjoyment. The position requires working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, with flexible scheduling that may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and long hours based on business demands.

Requirements

Previous experience in the guest service industry.
Ability to work flexible hours and weekends, including evenings and holidays.
Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to remain calm and focused during busy periods.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions; standing, walking, and moving for more than eight hours; and lifting and carrying items sometimes over 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification is a plus.
Hospitality experience is preferred but not required.
Additional language skills are preferred.
Certificates or qualifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

Follow Outdoor Pursuits standard operating procedures.
Perform assigned Club duties, including stocking, cleaning, and preparing for member excursions and activities.
Attend morning briefings and end-of-day shutdowns according to the management schedule.
Attend and participate in Outdoor Pursuits training and staff meetings, and communicate effectively with supervisors and managers.
Represent the property and Discovery Land Company as an ambassador on and off the property.
Follow the Employee Handbook and stay informed about changes.
Arrive on time for shifts and job assignments.
Help conduct monthly stock takes and inventories of parts and tools as advised by the Outdoor Pursuits Manager.
Maintain knowledge of and instruct activities including surfing, pickleball, volleyball, football, baseball, paddleboarding, tubing, frisbee, and watersports.
Set up and break down Movies on the Beach.
Greet members and participate in activities and games with them.
Facilitate sporting and special events.
Help members in and out of the water with water equipment and ensure the safety of members and children around pools and the beach.
Make bonfires.
Attend to members and guests using Outdoor Pursuits areas, helping maximize their safety and enjoyment.
Assist members and guests with activities.
