Outdoor Ice Rink Supervisor
About The Position
The Outdoor Ice Rink Supervisor is a part-time seasonal position responsible for overseeing day-to-day warming house operations, managing rink attendant staff, and providing onsite support throughout the rink season. The season is expected to run from December 19 through February 16, depending on weather and ice conditions; the position is expected to start as soon as ice conditions allow. Required staff training will take place in mid-December before the season begins. The position will remain open until filled. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 4:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.; Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.; and Sunday, 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Holiday break and school holiday schedules include additional hours and closures. The role may involve onsite evening visits, opening or closing warming houses, and supporting special events for youth and families.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Responsible, organized, and able to demonstrate decision-making and leadership skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Courteous and friendly, with enjoyment of interacting with people.
- Able to work independently.

- Availability to work 10 or more hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Perform onsite visits to warming houses throughout scheduled evenings.
- Support rink attendants and help troubleshoot issues and concerns.
- Ensure warming houses are opened and closed as scheduled.
- Assist with rink attendant scheduling.
- Document incidents, accidents, maintenance issues, and related matters.
- Support and/or lead special event activities for youth and families.
- Open or close warming houses if needed.
- Provide a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for shelter building and skating patrons.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
