About The Position

Pomp’s Tire Service is hiring an OTR Tire Service Technician to repair, inspect, and maintain heavy-duty tires in an outdoor environment. The technician performs on-site tire installations and repairs on OTR and/or large equipment vehicles at customer locations, including roadside service in all weather conditions. The role requires safe operation of company service vehicles, care of tools and equipment, adherence to safety procedures and company policies, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Training and a commission plan are offered.

Requirements

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL A or B) and ability to pass a pre-employment driver’s file review.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to work night shifts, overtime, and non-standard hours with minimal supervision.
• Previous experience working with OTR, heavy-duty, or commercial tires.
• Ability to safely change and repair commercial tires in all weather conditions.
• Ability to lift, carry, or move up to 75 pounds regularly and up to 250 pounds occasionally, with or without mechanical assistance.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company service vehicles to rack and hoist vehicles for inspection.
• Perform on-site tire installations and repairs on OTR and/or large equipment vehicles at customer locations.
• Operate company vehicles safely and comply with speed and traffic regulations.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment and properly care for tools and equipment.
• Provide roadside tire service independently in all weather conditions.
• Participate in ongoing training and follow safety procedures, job duties, and company policies.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned to support team operations.
