OTR Tire Service Technician
About The Position
Pomp’s Tire Service is hiring an OTR Tire Service Technician to repair, inspect, and maintain heavy-duty tires in an outdoor environment. The technician provides on-site tire installation and repair for over-the-road and/or large equipment vehicles at customer locations, including roadside service in all weather conditions. The role involves operating company service vehicles, maintaining tools and the work area, following safety procedures and company policies, and participating in ongoing training. The technician must be willing to work night shifts, overtime, and non-standard hours with minimal supervision.
Requirements
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL A or B) and ability to pass a pre-employment driver’s file review.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Willingness to work night shifts, overtime, and non-standard hours with minimal supervision.
- Previous experience working with OTR, heavy-duty, or commercial tires.
- Ability to safely change and repair commercial tires in all weather conditions.
- Ability to regularly lift, carry, or move up to 75 pounds and occasionally up to 250 pounds, with or without mechanical assistance.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate company service vehicles to rack and hoist vehicles for inspection.
- Perform on-site tire installations and repairs on OTR and/or large equipment vehicles at customer locations.
- Operate company vehicles safely while adhering to speed and traffic regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment and properly care for tools and equipment.
- Work independently in all weather conditions to provide roadside tire service.
- Participate in ongoing training and follow safety procedures, job duties, and company policies.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned to support team operations.
