Regional/OTR Class A Owner Operator
About The Position
Clean Harbors is seeking an OTR Class A Dry Van Owner Operator to join its safety-conscious team in El Dorado. This is a flex-driver role serving the East Coast, with applicants eligible from East Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, East Tennessee, and North Carolina. The role involves approximately 2,500–3,000 miles, and the driver does not have to stay out for two weeks; scheduling can be worked out with the applicant. Average annual earnings are $200,000–$250,000, with weekly home time. Compensation includes pay for on-duty time through hourly demurrage rates, non-asset hourly rates, and/or mileage pay. Clean Harbors prioritizes health and safety and promotes positive, safe work environments. The driver operates tractor-trailer units and transports hazardous and non-hazardous waste while following company safety practices and applicable Department of Transportation requirements.
Requirements
- Class A CDL.
- HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements.
- At least 12 months of Class A driving experience.
- Ability to effectively use required technology, such as mobile applications and computer software.
Responsibilities
- Comply with safe work practices, policies, and processes, and act safely at all times.
- Operate tractor-trailer units.
- Adhere to weight limits and ensure proper utilization of units.
- Ensure hazardous and non-hazardous waste is properly loaded and unloaded, and secure loads properly.
- Placard the vehicle according to company and Department of Transportation requirements and regulations.
- Maintain daily logs, invoicing, time sheets, dispatch and trip reports, and vehicle inspection reports.
