About The Position

Clean Harbors is seeking an OTR Class A Dry Van Owner Operator to join its safety-conscious team in El Dorado. This is a flex-driver position serving the East Coast, with candidates eligible from East Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, East Tennessee, and North Carolina. The route averages 2,500–3,000 miles. Drivers do not have to stay out for two weeks; scheduling can be arranged to work best for the applicant, with weekly home time. The role averages $200,000–$250,000 per year. Compensation includes paid on-duty time through hourly demurrage rates, non-asset hourly rates, and/or mileage pay. The position involves operating tractor-trailer units and transporting hazardous and non-hazardous waste. The driver must follow applicable safety practices and policies, ensure proper loading and securing of loads, comply with weight and vehicle-utilization requirements, use required placards, and maintain operational records and reports.

Requirements

Class A CDL.
HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements.
Minimum of 12 months of Class A driving experience.
Ability to effectively use required technology, including mobile applications and computer software.

Responsibilities

Comply with health and safety practices, policies, and processes, and act safely at all times.
Operate tractor-trailer units.
Adhere to weight requirements and ensure proper utilization of the units.
Ensure proper loading and unloading of hazardous and non-hazardous waste and secure loads properly.
Placard vehicles in accordance with Company and Department of Transportation requirements and regulations.
Maintain daily logs, invoices, time sheets, dispatch and trip reports, and vehicle inspection reports.
