About The Position

Clean Harbors is hiring an OTR Class A Dry Van Owner Operator for its safety-conscious team in Bristol, Connecticut. The route runs between the Northeast and El Dorado, Arkansas, in either direction. The position involves approximately 3,000 miles per week and requires being out for two weeks at a time, with bi-weekly home time. Average annual earnings are listed as $200,000–$250,000. Compensation may include hourly demurrage rates for on-duty time, non-asset hourly rates, and/or mileage pay. Requirements

• Class A CDL.
• HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements.
• At least 12 months of Class A driving experience.
• Ability to effectively use required technology, including mobile applications and computer software.

Responsibilities

• Comply with safe work practices, policies, and processes, and act safely at all times.
• Operate tractor-trailer units.
• Adhere to weight limits and ensure proper utilization of units.
• Ensure proper loading and unloading of hazardous and non-hazardous waste and properly secure loads.
• Placard vehicles in accordance with Company and Department of Transportation requirements and regulations.
• Maintain daily logs, invoicing, time sheets, dispatch and trip reports, and vehicle inspection reports.
