About The Position

Genesis Orthopedics & Sports Medicine is hiring an orthopedic surgeon, either a generalist or subspecialist, to help expand its high-throughput, accessibility-focused private practice in Chicagoland. The role offers a near-full case load from day one, with opportunities across sports medicine, total joint replacement, spine, hand and wrist, shoulder, hip, knee, elbow, foot and ankle, pediatrics, and general orthopedics. The surgeon will have infrastructure to support clinical work and practice growth, including 1–3 APPs who refer into clinics, EPIC EMR, referral networks, and administrative support. The position also offers opportunities to shape clinical protocols, participate in research and product development, serve as a team physician, and build relationships and community presence. Compensation includes a competitive base and performance incentives, with a potential equity or partnership pathway.

Requirements

Board-certified or board-eligible in orthopedics.
Licensed in Illinois or able to obtain Illinois licensure.
Interest in efficiency, outcomes data, and sustainable unit economics.
Desire to build and take ownership of a practice, model, or future.
Commitment to improving access to high-quality orthopedic care for all patients.

Responsibilities

Provide orthopedic care in a high-volume, varied case mix, in a generalist or subspecialty area.
Shape clinical protocols with a data-focused, outcomes-driven team, with cost reduction as a priority.
Participate in research and product development opportunities.
Take on team physician roles with professional sports teams and local institutions.
Build the practice through referrals, relationships, and community presence.
Contribute to the practice’s accessible-care model and its growth.
