About The Position
We are seeking a full-time, board-certified general orthopedic surgeon with surgical privileges to join an integrated musculoskeletal practice serving the Silver Spring, Maryland area. The practice specializes in diagnosing and treating patients injured in motor vehicle accidents and work-related incidents. The physician will cover offices in Camp Springs, Silver Spring, and Hyattsville and perform orthopedic surgery with privileges at surrounding hospitals. The practice provides integrated care for neuro-musculoskeletal injuries and chronic conditions. Its services include physical therapy and chiropractic care, aquatic and land-based therapy, work conditioning and hardening, vestibular and cognitive therapy, Functional Capacity Evaluations, electrodiagnostic testing, interventional pain management, and x-rays. Care is medically managed from evaluation through treatment, with collaboration among a multidisciplinary team. The position offers a salary of $450,000–$520,000 and a Monday-through-Friday schedule.
Requirements
- MD or DO from an accredited educational institution.
- Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Maryland.
- Board certification in Orthopedic Surgery as a general orthopedic surgeon.
- Surgical privileges.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality patient care and management.
- Recommend tests and conduct diagnostic testing to determine the extent of injuries and appropriate treatment.
- Oversee diagnosis and treatment of occupational and motor vehicle injuries.
- Prepare patients to return to work after illness or injury.
- Perform orthopedic surgery with surgical privileges at surrounding hospitals.
- Collaborate with colleagues and staff to provide comprehensive patient care.
