About The Position

We are seeking a compassionate Orthopedist and/or Orthopedic Surgeon to join growing medical practices, with a practice opportunity in the Elkton region. The ideal candidate is skilled in patient management, communicates effectively, and enjoys working within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team focused on exceptional patient care.

The medical offices provide integrated healthcare services for patients with neuro-musculoskeletal injuries and chronic pain conditions. Office-based services include diagnostics, surgery, and rehabilitation. Patients are medically managed from evaluation through treatment to support the best possible outcomes.

This is a part-time position for one day per week, with no call and no weekends. Compensation is $200 to $250 per hour.

Requirements

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedics/Orthopedic Surgery.
• Unrestricted Maryland medical license.
• Favorable malpractice history.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial medical evaluations and follow-up visits.
• Recommend and interpret diagnostic testing to determine the extent of injuries and appropriate treatment plans.
• Order diagnostic labs and imaging.
• Oversee patient diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Assist patients with return-to-work evaluations following injury or illness.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation.
• Refer patients to in-house therapies and specialists as appropriate.
• Collaborate with colleagues and staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.
