About The Position
The Orthopedic Surgeon will provide call coverage for a Level II trauma facility in Kearney, Nebraska. The service is inpatient and outpatient, with 24-hour call from 7 a.m. to 7 a.m. Coverage is needed from December 23, 2026, through January 3, 2027, because there are not enough available orthopedic surgeons to complete the call schedule. Average daily volume is 1–2 patients. Hospitalists handle admissions. The case mix includes fracture care and general orthopedic care. The facility uses Epic and provides ED and OR staff support. Credentialing takes 30–60 days.
Requirements
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
- Active Nebraska license preferred, or IMLC.
- Active DEA.
- Ability to provide general orthopedic care and fracture care.
Nice To Haves
- ATLS certification is highly preferred.
- Active Nebraska license is preferred.
