About The Position

As an Orthopedic Spine Surgery APP part of the Orthopedic Trauma team at Intermountain Health, you will work with a large system-wide team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and excellent patient experience. In this role, you can anticipate practicing at Intermountain Health Lutheran Hospital and Lutheran Orthopedic Trauma. This role involves 4x10's with dedicated clinic and OR days and provides call coverage in support of the orthopedic spine surgeon, approximately 7 days per month, including weekdays, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

APRN or PA-C degree from an accredited program
Active, unobstructed Colorado medical license, or the ability to obtain one
BLS certification and DEA
Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process

Responsibilities

Provide call coverage in support of the orthopedic spine surgeon, approximately 7 days per month, including weekdays, nights, weekends, and holidays
See and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
Verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.
Manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy.
Document patient care, access needed information, and prepare medications.
Lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients.
Bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment.
Walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment.
Push/pull gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items.
Navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc).
Stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
