About The Position

Spine surgery is a critical and demanding field within orthopedics, often dealing with patients who have exhausted conservative treatments and faced challenges within the healthcare system. This role offers an opportunity to practice within a system designed around patient care rather than payer demands. Genesis Orthopedics & Sports Medicine is a full-spectrum musculoskeletal (MSK) platform with 16 clinics in Chicagoland, providing comprehensive care from surgery to physical therapy across various insurance types. The spine patient population is high-volume and underserved, seeking a surgeon dedicated to thorough treatment. Genesis operates on the principle that surgery is a last resort, not a revenue strategy, and provides the clinical infrastructure to prioritize conservative care (physical therapy, injections, imaging, pain management) while ensuring sufficient surgical volume when necessary. This position offers a partnership-track role with equity potential for a surgeon committed to building and growing within the practice.
