About The Position
Westrock Orthodontics is seeking a motivated and caring Orthodontic Assistant with a dental or orthodontic assisting background. The assistant supports the Orthodontist and performs clinical and technical procedures under the direct supervision of a licensed Orthodontist, helping provide high-quality patient care. The position supports clinics in Waynesville and Camdenton, Missouri.
Requirements
- Experience in dental or orthodontic assisting.
- Familiarity with orthodontic appliances, procedures, and terminology.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Orthodontist during examinations and treatments, helping patients feel comfortable and procedures run smoothly.
- Prepare operatories and equipment, sterilize equipment, and support efficient clinical workflows.
- Perform orthodontic procedures under direct supervision, including placing and removing wires, coil springs, bands, and retainers.
- Conduct digital scans and assist with fabricating customized appliances and retainers.
- Educate patients about treatment plans, oral hygiene, and appliance care.
- Record treatment notes accurately and collaborate with the team throughout the patient’s care journey.
