About The Position

Westrock Orthodontics is seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthodontic Assistant to support its Lee's Summit, Missouri, and Raymore, Missouri, locations. The role works under the direct supervision of licensed Orthodontists and helps provide clinical care, keep daily workflows efficient, and create positive patient experiences. The schedule is a four-day workweek with no Fridays. The Orthodontic Assistant partners with the Orthodontist during examinations and treatments, supports patients with treatment plans and oral hygiene and appliance-care instructions, and helps patients remain comfortable during visits. The position also involves preparing operatories, sterilizing equipment, performing digital scans, assisting with customized appliance and retainer fabrication, and maintaining accurate treatment notes.

Requirements

Prior experience in dental or orthodontic assisting is required.
Deep familiarity with orthodontic terminology, procedures, and clinical appliances.
Strong communication skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Motivated team player with a genuine passion for patient care.

Responsibilities

Partner with the Orthodontist during examinations and treatments.
Place and remove wires, coil springs, bands, and retainers.
Guide patients through their treatment plans and instruct them on proper oral hygiene and appliance care.
Help keep patients comfortable throughout visits.
Prepare operatories and sterilize equipment.
Perform digital scans.
Assist in fabricating customized appliances and retainers.
Maintain accurate treatment notes.
Support the Lee's Summit and Raymore locations while helping maintain efficient daily workflows and excellent patient experiences.
