About The Position
Baptiste Orthodontics is seeking a talented and caring Orthodontic Assistant to help provide high-quality patient care. The assistant works under the direct supervision of a licensed Orthodontist, supporting examinations and orthodontic treatment by preparing operatories and equipment, assisting with clinical and technical procedures, and helping ensure patients are comfortable. The role also includes digital scanning, appliance support, patient education, accurate treatment documentation, and collaboration with the care team.
Requirements
- At least one year of orthodontic assisting experience.
- Familiarity with orthodontic appliances, procedures, and terminology.
- Ability to perform clinical and technical procedures under the direct supervision of a licensed Orthodontist.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Orthodontist during examinations and treatments, helping patients feel comfortable and procedures run smoothly.
- Prepare operatories and equipment, sterilize equipment, and support efficient clinical workflows.
- Perform orthodontic procedures under direct supervision, including placing or removing wires, coil springs, bands, and retainers.
- Conduct digital scans and assist with fabricating customized appliances and retainers.
- Educate patients about treatment plans, oral hygiene, and appliance care.
- Record treatment notes accurately and collaborate with the team throughout the patient’s care journey.
