About The Position
Baptiste Orthodontics is seeking a talented and caring Orthodontic Assistant to support the Orthodontist and help provide high-quality patient care. Under the direct supervision of a licensed Orthodontist, the role involves clinical and technical procedures, preparing operatories and equipment, and assisting during examinations and orthodontic treatment. The assistant also supports patients throughout their treatment journey by explaining treatment plans, oral hygiene, and appliance care, and by maintaining accurate treatment notes. Requirements
- At least one year of orthodontic assisting experience.
- Familiarity with orthodontic appliances, procedures, and terminology.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Orthodontist during examinations and treatments, helping patients feel comfortable and ensuring procedures run smoothly.
- Prepare operatories, sterilize equipment, and support clinical workflows.
- Perform orthodontic procedures under direct supervision, including placing and removing wires, coil springs, bands, and retainers.
- Conduct digital scans and assist with fabricating customized appliances and retainers.
- Educate patients about treatment plans, oral hygiene, and appliance care.
- Record treatment notes accurately and collaborate with the team to support patients throughout their care.
